Best Transfer Switches & Installation

Extension cords through windows power a few appliances badly. A transfer switch or interlock connects your generator to the circuits you actually care about — furnace, well pump, kitchen — through your panel, with zero chance of backfeeding the grid (which can kill a line worker and is illegal everywhere).
