Our verdict
Guided versus whole-panel. The Reliance kit gives you six chosen circuits with per-circuit switches and wattmeters — overload-proof by design, ideal for 30A generators. The Generac HomeLink feeds your entire panel through 50 amps and trusts you to manage loads, which is the right call for 9,500W+ machines. Match the switch to the generator you own.
