Westinghouse Universal Generator Storage Cover Review
A fitted storage cover that keeps dust, UV, and mouse nests out between outages.

The verdict
Generators spend 98% of their lives parked. A $29 fitted cover keeps garage dust out of the alternator, UV off the plastics, and โ the real enemy โ rodents from moving into the housing and eating the wiring. Sized options fit most open-frame portables; this is the cheap insurance tier of ownership.
Typical price: ~$29 (typical street price โ current price shown on Amazon)

Full review
Rodent damage is the sleeper killer of stored generators โ wiring harnesses are apparently delicious, and a chewed harness can total a $1,000 machine. A snug cover plus storing the unit off the floor eliminates most of it. Pair with the GenTent for running protection and your generator is covered in both senses for about $220 total.
Best for: Every garaged or shed-kept generator between uses.
