It's also a stealth home-backup pick: quiet enough to run overnight without hating your life, clean enough for every electronic device, and the remote start means topping off the fridge's cold from bed. The single limitation for home use is no 240V output — this feeds appliances and cords, not a standard transfer switch.
Reliability reports across thousands of owner-years are strong, with the one recurring gotcha being the vented fuel cap (set it to 'on' when running — it's in the manual, and half of the 'it died on me' reviews trace to exactly this).
